About the Role

We are currently seeking an Accounting Intern for a challenging experience-based internship to contribute to an innovative and groundbreaking project in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI). You will have the unique opportunity to participate in a fully immersive internship where you will gain hands-on experience in financial analysis, reporting, and accounting processes. This is designed largely as a remote placement but can also be a hybrid internship (Chicago or Toronto). In this engagement/applied learning internship, you’ll gain unparalleled experience in a high-growth, dynamic environment, directly interfacing with senior management and contributing to transformative financial strategies. It will be a demanding internship and will require you to bring the best version of yourself to the table, but for those who embrace this, it will be a richly rewarding experience as well as a great complement to your academic investment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing financial statements, reports, and analysis for internal and external stakeholders.
• Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliation of accounts.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
• Support the budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Help maintain compliance with accounting standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.

About You

• Currently enrolled or recently graduated from a Master’s program in fields such as Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Master’s program enrollment or completion is mandatory.
• Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in accounting software and tools such as QuickBooks, Excel, or similar.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Proficient communication in English (both verbal and written) is required.
• Experience with financial analysis and reporting is a plus.
• Excellent presentation and public speaking skills.
