About Us

Vosyn is a Language Synthesis AI company based in Toronto. We build technology that removes language barriers, so people can access and understand information in any language. We are preparing for an IPO, and the people who join us now help shape both the product and the company itself. Good ideas get heard here, whoever they come from.

About the Role

We are seeking an inquisitive and principled ESG & CSR Responsible AI Intern to join our team. As an ESG & CSR Responsible AI Intern, you will develop and champion Vosyn's AI ethics principles, guidelines, and best practices to ensure that our AI development and deployment processes align with ethical standards. Your role will be pivotal in promoting transparency, accountability, and fairness in all AI decision-making processes. This immersive internship offers hands-on experience, collaboration with senior management, and the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. While demanding, it promises to be a rewarding complement to your academic journey, equipping you with valuable skills and insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ethics Framework Development: Design and implement comprehensive AI ethics policies and guidelines to address key ethical challenges in AI development and deployment.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify and mitigate ethical risks in AI systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory and industry standards.
  • Collaboration: Partner with data scientists, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure that AI ethics principles are integrated into all stages of product development.
  • Transparency and Accountability: Promote transparency in AI algorithms and processes, ensuring explainability and accountability in AI decision-making.
  • Training and Advocacy: Educate internal teams on ethical AI principles, providing training and resources to enhance awareness and understanding.
  • Research and Trends: Stay informed about emerging trends, research, and regulatory developments in AI ethics to refine Vosyn’s practices.
  • Ethics Audits: Conduct regular audits to evaluate the ethical implications of AI products and recommend improvements.

About You

  • Currently enrolled or recently graduated from a Master’s in Ethics, Computer Science, Data Science, Philosophy, or a related field required; Master’s or Ph.D. preferred. Master’s program enrollment or completion is mandatory.
  • Experience in AI ethics, policy development, or a related field, with a strong understanding of AI technologies.
  • Expertise in ethical frameworks, AI governance, and responsible AI practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to address complex ethical challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills for translating ethical principles into actionable policies.
  • Familiarity with global AI regulations and industry standards (e.g., EU AI Act, IEEE Standards).
  • Understanding of machine learning, data privacy, bias mitigation, and algorithmic transparency.
  • Care deeply about ethical AI and about innovation that serves the social good.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • New graduates are encouraged to apply.

We believe exceptional talent often emerges from diverse paths. If you possess a profound curiosity, a genuine passion for continuous personal and professional growth, and a strong desire to apply your unique abilities to create significant impact within our team, we strongly encourage you to apply - even if your background doesn’t align perfectly with every single qualification.
